When Forrest Taylor founded Elite Homes by Forrest Taylor in 1990, his goal was to build some of the best and most beautiful custom homes in the coastal Carolinas. Just four years later he was named Builder of the Year by the South Brunswick Islands Home Builders Association.
At Elite Homes, we cater to discriminating clients who desire personalized, upscale homes that are uniquely theirs. Forrest builds homes that make him even more proud that he was of his first fort, his first treehouse, or the first home he helped his grandfather build when he was just a teenager. Working construction with his grandfather, Forrest began acquiring the knowledge and experience that enabled him to reach his goals as a builder.

Even when he is on vacation, Forrest’s passion for his craft drives him to visit construction sites, looking at new or proven methods. After hurricane Andrew devastated parts of Florida in 1992, he went there to help rebuild. Sadly, he saw first-hand the results of shoddy building practices. Even things that were engineered for hurricanes did not withstand the winds. Those visions of people’s homes, possessions, and dreams in ruins increased his determination to build exquisite homes that are also extremely strong.
Forrest is a member of the South Brunswick Islands Home Builders Association and has previously served as president. He now holds two unlimited general contractor’s licenses in North and South Carolina. Many of his homes are located in golf communities such as Brunswick Plantation, Lake Tree Shores, Carolina Shores, and Ocean Ridge Plantation, where Forrest is a preferred builder. He is also fortunate to build on private lots on and off the beachfronts.
Forrest and wife Pam Taylor have always shared the philosophy of “getting it right the first time” and also share the goal of building homes that they, themselves, would be proud to own. The entire Elite Homes team also share these thoughts and welcome the opportunity to work on your next project.
